Group of digital companies · Incorporated in Florida

Three disciplines, one company.

CAUS Digital Marketing is the parent of a group of digital companies and brands. Content production, performance marketing and programmatic technology sit inside one organization, reading from the same data — so what one of them learns, the other two can act on.

§ 01 — Structure

A parent, and the brands under it.

The brands are operated, not represented.

CAUS Digital Marketing owns a group of digital companies that brings together different brands. That is the company's own description of itself, and the plainest one available. Each brand publishes under its own name; what they share sits underneath — one media operation, and one way of recording what it does.

Combining content production with performance marketing and programmatic technology is the method the company was built on, and it describes the result as bringing the best of three worlds into a single organization. Held together, the three answer a question that none of them answers alone: what an audience costs before it earns.

The group describes its properties as reaching thousands of readers every month. Those properties belong to it. The same organization decides what is published, how it is distributed and how both are recorded, so the consequences of all three decisions land in one place.

§ 02 — Disciplines

Three practices, one method.

The company’s own names for its own work.

Each of the three exists because the other two need it. A page is only worth buying an audience for if someone made it worth arriving at. A media buy is only worth making if someone can read what it returned. And neither is legible without a place where both are written down against the same piece of work.

Programmatic media

Ads shown to the right people at the right time.

Inventory is bought and sold in real-time auctions. The work is placement and pacing: which impression is worth buying, against which page, and how often the same person should see it. Auctions run continuously, so the operation around them does too.

Performance marketing

Knowing, through data, the return on every unit invested.

Spending is held against what it returned rather than what it reached. What returns is funded further; what does not is stopped. Both of those judgements are only as good as the record they are taken from, which is the reason the third discipline exists at all.

Data warehouse

Cost, revenue, content and engagement in one place.

Financial and statistical data is collected in real time and combined for individual stories and videos, so what it cost to bring a reader in sits beside what that reader went on to do. Any one of those four views describes an outcome. Put together against the same story, they begin to explain it.

§ 03 — Objective

The cost of the next reader.

Data science pointed at one figure rather than many.

A content business runs against one binding constraint, and it is not output. It is what the next reader costs to acquire, set against what that reader returns. Every editorial and commercial choice is made inside the distance between those two.

The company states its objective directly: use data science to reduce customer acquisition cost, and take professional media to another level. Holding the three disciplines together is what makes that objective workable — the cost side and the revenue side of the same reader are recorded by the same organization, against the same piece of work.

The unit is the part that matters. Read as an average across a portfolio, the figure hides the thing worth acting on: a story that repaid what was spent to promote it and a story that never did will report the same number between them. Held against a single story or a single video, it becomes something a decision can be made from.
